  1. Warren Buffett’s favorite pharmaceutical (Glaxo-Smith-Kline) just got slapped with a $3 billion fine

A lot like the Salomon Bros Treasury rigging scandal in the 1980s

A lot like Coca Cola’s accounting issues (Buffett was on the accounting committee of Coke’s board)

A lot like FNMA’s massive earnings mistatements and lack of risk controls

A lot like Buffett buying GenRe, which was later charged with helping to conceal losses at AIG.

A lot like his preferred buys into Govt Electric and Goldman Sachs just as they were shown to have ethical issues in their business practices and political influence issues

While hedge funds are being ordered to register and to report trades and positions to the CFTC / SEC, Warren Buffet gets endless extensions and delays in reporting his trades

And let us not forget that little insider trading episode at Berkshire Hathaway itself a little over a year ago

Anyone can beat the stock market if they are allowed to play by a different set of laws than everyone else.
